ADRESSEZ VOUS A down left, BACCHUS MEDECIN down right, Doctor in medieval physician’s garb seated left and facing slightly right, pouring wine from large jug, which flows down to five recipient below, each of whom raise their hands to catch it; in background, herm inscribed BACCH[VS]; Chrétien in script to left of doctor / LES MEDECINS AMIS/DU VIN in two lines in incuse, large bushel basket filled with grapes set on ground; to left, erect snake right; in background, vineyard with château on hill behind; all in incuse; DOCTEUR LIÈVRE engraved below.
