Lower Egypt or Levant. Circa 1800-1500 BC. Steatite scarab mounted on bronze ring (22x18mm [dimensions of scarab], 35x32 [dimensions of ring]). Base of scarab with two pairs of Uraei facing each other; between lower pair, a bird (Ba bird?); sun above bird, the hieroglyph nb (“Lord”) below. Ring heavily encrusted and with a break below one knob.
