THRACE, Ainos. Circa 359-356 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.67 gm). Three-quarter facing head of Hermes, turned slightly left, wearing petasos with studded rim / AINON, goat standing right; eagle before. May, Ainos 429 (A260/P310); BMC Thrace pg. 79, 19 (same dies). Toned EF, well centered, reverse slightly double-struck. ($7,500)

This and the following tetradrachm of Ainos represent a rare late issue from the city, and are struck with a round rather than square reverse die.
