THESSALY, Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. AR Hemidrachm (16mm, 2.97 g, 12h). Thessalos, nude but for petasos and cloak tied at neck, standing right, head facing, holding band across horns of forepart of bull leaping right, its head facing / Forepart of bridled horse right within incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 782 var. (same obv. die; different orientation of legend). VF, lightly toned, scratch and banker’s mark on obverse. Attractive obverse style.
