Held in Dordrecht in 1619 by the Dutch Reformed Church, the Synod of Dort met to resolve religious issues that arose within the Reformed Church following the rise of Arminianism and the challenges it posed to established Calvanism. Delegates included representatives from the Church of England and the Church of Scotland.
