Crowned royal coat-of-arms; crowned I R across field / Upright sword surmounted by crown; hand pointing toward XXX (denomination); 15 71 across field; c/m: crowned thistle. For host coin: cf. Burns 7 and fig. 921 (for type); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian) 1213; SCBC 5472; for c/m: SCBC p.70. VF, toned, slight double strike, small flan split. Attractive surfaces.
