Sold for $220. This amount does not include the buyer’s fee.

Soapstone seal. Western Semitic, circa 9th–7th centuries BC. Scaraboid with bidirectional piercing through center. On face, man advancing left, holding two fishing hooks in left hand, net in right. Dimensions: 21x12mm. See Malter 58 (25 June 1994), lot 69 for similar. Intact with minor chips on top of scarab and on sides, otherwise a nice example of type.
