CORINTHIA, Corinth. Circa 550-500 BC. AR Stater (22mm, 8.02 g). Pegasos flying left / Quadripartite incuse square of swastika-like pattern with circle in center. Ravel 85–90 (P63/R– [unlisted rev. die]); Pegasi 39 var. (no circle on rev.); BCD Corinth 3 var. (same). Fine, toned, granular surfaces, die break and roughness on obverse, light scratches on reverse. Very rare with circle on reverse.


Lot includes old collection holder from late 1930s marked “New Netherland Coin Co., New York, $9.00”.
