ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.90 g, 11h). New Style coinage. Timarchos, Nikago-, and Mnasik-, magistrates. Struck 134/3 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ names in fields, anchor and star to left, B on amphora, ΣΦ below; all within wreath. Thompson 361d (same obv. die). Near EF, bright surfaces.


The reverse die used on this coin is the same as Thompson 363a, which may also be the same as 361d, but none of the examples of the latter are published.
