Constantinople mint. +EMMA NOVHL, nimbate bust of Christ facing, holding book of Gospels; IC in left field, XC in right field / IS XS/bAS-ILE/bAS-ILE in three lines, cross, with pellet at each extremity, on three steps. DOC III pp. 676-9; SB 1823. Probably overstruck on an Anonymous Class A Follis (DOC III pp. 648-75; SB 1793ff.). Nice VF, green-brown patina. $75.
