SICILY, Kephaloidion. Circa 307-305 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 3.73 g, 6h). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; EK ΚΕΦΑΛΟΙΔΙ-ON to right and below / Bull butting left on tablet; AK monogram and ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΩΤΑΝ above. Campana, Kephaloidion 1; Jenkins, Coinages, p. 97, 1 = CNS I p. 245 (Herakleia) = Basel 345 = Numismatica Ars Classica 13, lot 345 (same dies). Good VF, darkly toned. Extremely rare, one of only two known.
