2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (17x12mm). Three recesses deeply carved on the back, once filled with paste or faience inlay. Base engraved with a scroll with lotus buds above and below. Some chips, trace of glaze, pierced for mounting. Rare.
