18th Dynasty. Circa 1504-1450 BC. Carnelian amulet in the shape of a duck (18x11mm). Back in the form of a duck in typical pose, with head and neck turned backwards, base bearing the name of Pharaoh Tuthmosis III flanked by nfr signs. Cf. Jaeger p. 180. Insignificant edge chip at base, pierced for mounting. A rare and attractive specimen.
