Umayyad Caliphate. Anonymous. Æ Pashiz (23mm, 0.90 g, 7h). No mint (Bīshāpūr). No date. Crowned Sasanian-style bust facing; “xvarrah” in Pahlavi to left, “Khusrō” in Pahlavi to right; double open circle border with star-in-crescent motif in margin at 3, 6 (with triple-pellets to right), and 9 o’clock; in margin from approximately 4 to 7 o’clock, “In the name of God my Lord” in Arabic / Facing bust with flaming nimbus; illegible Pahlavi legend to left, Pahlavi “Khusrō” to right; triple circle border with star-in-crescent motif in margin at 3, 6 , 9, and 12 o’clock. Gyselen 65a.6 (this coin). VF, attractive brown patina, minor striking weakness.
