Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; LA (date), star and Isis headdress to left, ПA to right. Svoronos 1816; SNG Copenhagen 412; DCA 72. Good Fine, toned, porous and rough surfaces. Very rare.



Caesarion, son of Cleopatra VII and Julius Caesar, ruled jointly with his mother until her death in 30 BC. He attempted to flee Egypt as Octavian approached, but was betrayed and executed.
