(667.1) THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Chalkous (12mm, 1.36 g, 10h). Head of Athena r., wearing triple drop earring and a crested Attic helmet with ear flaps raised, decorated by Skylla to r. / Φ below, A to r., sideways, P retrograde above l., helmeted horseman prancing r., his r. arm raised above his head, brandishing a lagobolon (here partly off flan). Lavva -, but type similar to group B.II.8. Near VF, dark green patina; the rev. die not fully in the small flan.


(667.2) THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Chalkous (12.5mm, 1.56 g, 8h). Head of Athena l., wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla / Φ-A-P from below, r. up and circular retrograde, helmeted horseman prancing r., his r. arm raised above his head, brandishing a lagobolon. Lavva -, but see group B.II.8, 257 to 259 for similar style. Good Fine, dark green patina, obv. a little softly struck.


(667.3) THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Chalkous (14mm, 1.85 g, 8h). Head of Athena r., wearing triple drop earring and crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla / [Φ-A] below, Σ-[P] retrograde above, Thessalian horseman wearing petasos, chlamys and short chiton riding r. Lavva -; rev. die = R141, obv. die not in Lavva. Near VF, dark green patina with bronze highlights; surfaces somewhat pitted; rev. slightly off centre.


(667.4) THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Chalkous (14.5mm, 2.33 g, 6h). Head of Athena l., wearing beaded necklace, drop earring and crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla / Φ-A above to l. and r., Σ-P below to l. and r., Thessalian rider wearing petasos, chlamys and short chiton on horse prancing r. Lavva -, but see 179 -180 for similar; see also CNG e-sale 222 (11 November 2009) 120 for similar dies. VF, dark green patina; a couple of obv. edge marks and an old scrape above the horseman on the reverse.
