LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 400-350 BC. AR Distater (23mm, 15.62 g, 9h). Helmeted head of Athena left, helmet decorated with Skylla scanning / Bull butting right; six pellets above groundline; in exergue, fish right. Noe, Thurian F12 (same dies); HN Italy 1805; SNG ANS 967 (same dies). VF, struck from worn obverse die, some porosity. Very rare, only one reverse die known with six pellets.
