MACEDON, Eion. Circa 470-460 BC. Fourrée Trihemiobol (10mm, 1.66 g). Goose standing right, head reverted; lizard above / Incuse punch. Cf. SNG ANS 274; cf. SNG Copenhagen 174. Near VF. Rare and unusual.
Apparently the counterfeiters of this fourrée were attempting to imitate a silver coin, but the plating gives it the appearance of an electrum piece.
