Rogier was a moneyer’s name on Henry II’s coinage at Bristol, Canterbury, Exeter, and Oxford mints. However, he is only known at Canterbury for Henry’s class C coins. Although BMC and Elmore Jones list the coin as class C2, a comparison with published specimens clearly shows it to be C1, where the small trefoil on the king’s shoulder only has a single, plain line to the right marking the edge of the bust.
