C. Fonteius. 114-113 BC. Æ As (24.45 g, 11h). Uncial standard. Rome mint. Laureate head of bearded Janus; I (mark of value) above / Prow of galley right; anchor to right; I (mark of value) above. Crawford 290/2 (citing only 5 specimens in Paris); Sydenham 556. Good VF, green patina, a bit of red, traces of earthen highlights. Very rare.
