CILICIA, Posidion. Circa 333 BC. AR Obol (10mm, 0.76 g). Helmeted head of Athena facing slightly right / Facing female head. F. Shore, "A New Greek Fraction," The Celator, Vol. 19, No. 5 (May 2005), p. 39; CNG Sale 70, lot 332, otherwise unpublished. VF, light porosity, unusually full flan for these.

Posidion is known as the name of a promontory on the coast of Cilicia, but the coins, of clear Cilician style, offer the sole evidence for a town in that area.
