L IS (Z retrograde) (date) within wreath / Lituus. Meshorer 333; Hendin 6371a; RPC I 4968. Black patina with red earthen deposits. Near VF. Only years 17 and 18 are confirmed for this type but Hendin notes that the retrograde Z could be a crude Ϛ, indicating RY 16 (29/30 CE). The retrograde Z is one of the more common mint errors in this series.
