KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AV Stater (19mm, 8.57 g, 12h). Uncertain mint. Struck 3rd century BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monograms to inner left and in exergue. Thompson –; Müller 512; cf. HGC 3, 1743 (for type); Ars Classica XIV, lot 232 (same dies); Cahn 84, lot 213 (same dies). Underlying luster, slightly off center on reverse. Good VF.
