Phoenician. 8th-6th centuries BCE. Bronze 8 Staters Weight (31.5mm, 84.4 g). Inverted, truncated pyramid, rosette engraved on top. Cf. Hendin, Weights 235 (for similar design on a weight of 16 staters). A similar rosette appears on the base of an Iron Age stone beqa weight (Barkay 1978: 212, 111, weight of 5.90 g).
