CILICIA, Tarsos. Pharnabazos. Persian military commander, 380-374/3 BC. AR Stater (21mm, 10.60 g, 11h). Struck circa 380 BC. Head of Arethousa facing slightly left, hair in ampyx, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace with pendants; to left, fish upward / Bearded head left, wearing crested helmet with raised earflap and floral motif, drapery around neck; KIΛIKON and ḤLK (in Aramaic) to left. Casabonne Series 2; Moysey Issue 3, dies 2/– (unlisted rev. die); SNG BN 242 (same obv. die [erroneously listed under obv. die 1 in Moysey]); SNG Levante –; SNG von Aulock –; SNG Hunterian 966 (same obv. die); Jameson 2603 = Pozzi 2847 (same obv. die [erroneously listed under obv. die 1 in Moysey]). Lightly toned, some minor marks, deposits. VF. Very rare with fish and this legend.
