Steatite scarab with hunting scene. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1550-1050 BC. (20 mm) Scarab with central bidirectional piercing for suspension. The back is defined though worn, with all features of the scarab, including legs carved. On the face, a hunting scene with an antelope, a lion and a third quadruped running right. Old Collector’s notes present. There is loss on the top of the right hand edge of the scarab.
