Steatite scarab with crocodile. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1550-1050 BC. (18 mm) A scarab with a central bidirectional piercing for suspension. The back is well carved with fine details on the head and clypeus and some indications of the wing cases. On the face, a crocodile faces right, his head up. Above, the river flows into the background. VF.
