CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 380-325 BC. AR Diobol (12.5mm, 1.02 g, 10h). Head of Athena right, wearing helmet decorated with hippocamp / Herakles crouching right, holding club and strangling the Nemean Lion to right. Vlasto 1297 (same dies); cf. HN Italy 914/911 (for obv./rev. type). Find patina, some cleaning scratches. VF. |
