Deity, holding reins and arched bow, riding hippocamp right above two lines of waves; below, dolphin right / Owl standing right, head facing; crook and flail diagonally in background; 10 (date, in Phoenician) to right. Cf. E&E-T Group II.1.1.2, 416 corr. (date, not die break); HGC 10, 324; DCA –. Lightly toned, rough and granular surfaces. Near VF. Extremely rare dated quarter shekel, only one example noted by E&E-T, one in CoinArchives (CNG E-432, lot 108, not recognizing date).
