CILICIA, Tarsus. Trebonianus Gallus. AD 251-253. Æ (32mm, 16.59 g, 12h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Perseus standing left, holding cult statue of Apollo Lykeios in right hand and harpa, Medusa head, and chlamys in left. SNG BN 1789-90; RPC 1406-7; SNG Levante 1176 (this coin). Brown surfaces, areas of weak strike, flan adjustment marks. Near VF.

The following coin in the sale was struck from this reverse die, although on a coin of Valerian I, which had been slightly re-engraved at the mint to further the life of the die. It is rare to find the same die used for two different emperors, even if they were used in the same year.
