ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 16.89 g, 11h). New Style coinage. Polycharm(os), Nikog(enes), and Themistokle(s), magistrates. Struck 133/2 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ names in fields, winged kerykeion to left, Z on amphora, ΔI below; all within wreath. Cf. Thompson 380/379j (for obv. die/rev. type); HGC 4, 1635. Lightly toned. In NGC encapsulation 4276190-010, graded MS Star, Strike: 4/5, Surface: 5/5.
