AEOLIS, Myrina. Circa 160-143 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 16.45 g, 12h). Stephanophoric type. Laureate head of Apollo right / Apollo Grynios standing right, holding branch and phiale; monogram to left, omphalos and amphora at feet; all within laurel wreath. Sacks issue unlisted, but obv. die 8; Gaziantep 324 var. (monogram; same obv. die); otherwise unpublished. In NGC encapsulation 1884244-007, graded XF, Strike: 5/5, Surface: 3/5, brushed. Very rare.

In Sacks’ die study of the coinage of Myrina, obverse die 8 was only present on coins of his issue 17 (which was the issue of the Gaziantep coin).
