MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. EL Hekte (11mm, 2.65 g). Forepart of ram left; to right, tunny upward / Quadripartite incuse square of mill-sail pattern. Cf. Von Fritze I 46 (unlisted denomination); cf. Greenwell 132 (stater); cf. Boston MFA 1420 = Warren 1556 (stater); SNG BN –; BMC –; FSD –; Gulbenkian –; Jameson 2166 = SNG von Aulock 1175; Rosen –; cf. Weber 4984 (stater). Residual luster, light scratch on obverse. Near EF. Well centered on a round flan. Very rare as a hekte.
