Warrior, nude but for helmet, riding right, preparing to cast javelin held aloft in his right hand / Forepart of man-headed bull right; CE-ΛA to right and below. Jenkins, Gela, Group Ib, 28 (O9/R11); HGC 2, 363; SNG ANS 5; SNG Ashmolean 1720 (same dies); Boston MFA 241 (same dies); Kraay & Hirmer 156 (same dies); Kampmann p. 12, middle (this coin). Toned, traces of undertype, slight find patina. EF.
