Divus Antoninus Pius. Died AD 161. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.29 g, 6h). Consecration issue. Rome mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, AD 161. DIVVS ANTONINVS, bareheaded bust right, slight drapery / CONSECRATIO, funeral pyre of four tiers, decorated with garlands, surmounted by facing quadriga. RIC III 438 (Aurelius); MIR 18, 27/4-12 (Aurelius); RSC 164a. Wonderful old cabinet toning with some blue iridescence. In NGC encapsulation, 4284622-010, graded Ch AU, Strike: 4/5, Surface: 5/5.
