ISLANDS off IONIA, Samos. Tranquillina. Augusta, AD 241-244. Æ (30mm, 9.82 g, 6h). Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Nude hunter (Ankaios?) standing right, thrusting his spear at a boar, which is emerging left from a cave. RPC VII. 1 591/11-14 (A18/R6); BMC 312. Dark green patina with some light earthen highlights/deposits and traces of red, some roughness. Near VF. Rare.
