PHRYGIA, Apameia. Circa 166-133 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.69 g, 12h). Cistophoric type. Struck circa 166-140 BC. Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; civic monogram to left, kithara to right. Kleiner & Noe –; HGC 7, 655. Toned, minor marks and scratches. VF. Extremely rare issue with kithara.
