Crowned bust left, wearing ruff; rose to right / Coat-of-arms over long cross fourchée. BCW CR-1/–; North 1998; SCBC 2573. Toned, scratches, porosity. Near VF. Unlisted reverse variety.

The overdate 1578/7/5 is recorded in BCW, but only with the Greek cross over eglantine initial mark. This reverse depicts a clear, unambiguous Greek cross.
