(cross) (triple pellets) IACOBVS · 6 · DEI · GRATIA · REX · SCOTORVM (triple pellets), crowned royal coat-of-arms; crowned I R across field / (triple pellets) PRO · ME · SI · MEREOR · IN · ME , upright sword surmounted by crown; hand pointing toward XX (mark of value); 15 68 across field. Burns 3; SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian) –; SCBC 5474. A well struck specimen struck on a broad flan. Toned. Near EF. Very rare in this grade.
