IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 390-325 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 14.98 g, 12h). Zenon, magistrate. Class I, circa 340-325 BC. Bee / Forepart of stag right, head left; palm tree to left; ZHNΩN to right. Pixodarus obv. die 150 (unlisted for magistrate); SNG Copenhagen. Toned, scattered marks, off center on obverse. Good VF.

Zenon is only noted for tetradrachms of Class G in Pixodarus, while obverse die 150 belongs to Class I. This suggests that the present issue may be from a different magistrate with the same name.

Closing Date and Time: 18 December 2019 at 10:39:00 ET.

All winning bids are subject to a 18% buyer’s fee.
