STAMP SEAL. BMAC - Baktria-Margiana Archaeological Complex. 2nd Millenium BCE. (47 mm). Copper/Bronze. A copper openwork stamp seal with central handle. The entire seal is heavily encrusted and patinated, the handle especially is covered. Centrally, there is a hole present, now covered in encrustation. On the face, a seated bear faces right, held by several “spokes” An outer ring defines the edge of the seal. Sarianidi 1556 (for type, as Ibex.) 1561-2 (as closed eagle). Intact but fragile.
