CERAMIC POTTERY. Baluchistan. Peripheral tribes. 2,800 - 2,200 BCE. (10.5 cm tall x 19 cm long x 10.5 cm diameter). A large oval vessel with wide open top and tapered flat foot with stands in front to help balance the piece. The pitcher has a long, extended spout with a small crook before opening and a small, single handle at the back of the vessel. Small knobs on both sides of the vessel are present at the side of the wide lip. Red clay with a sandy patina. Uniform encrustation. Intact. |
