Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Theodosius, pearl-diademed and wearing military attire, standing facing, head left, holding labarum without spur and resting hand on shield set on ground to right; TRPS. RIC IX 53c and 93b; RSC 55†a. Toned with iridescence, compact flan, small scratch on reverse, light hairlines, a few light edge marks. Good VF. Rare. A full weight example with the thick but quite compact flan for the issue. |
