CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 450 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.86 g, 1h). Phalanthos, nude, extending hands, riding dolphin left; cicada to right, scallop shell below / Taras as Oikistes, his torso bare, wearing himation from his waist, seated left on stool, balancing spindle on his extended right hand and holding scepter in his left.
