Labrys within wreath / Macedonian helmet; grain ear to left, K to right. Cf. Price 2072 (half unit with this reverse); Naumann 98, lot 143; otherwise, unpublished in the standard references. Green-brown patina, compact flan. Near VF. Unpublished denomination in this issue. Extremely rare.

For the reattribution of Price 2072 to Kaunos, see R. Ashton, “Kaunos, not Miletos or Mylasa” in NC 164 (2004). His conclusion was more recently concurred by A. Meadows in his article “The Double-Axe Mint: The Coinage of Tenedos in the Third and Second Centuries BC” in: A. Meadows & U.
