Struck circa 854-864. + CEOLNOÐ ΛRCHIEP (small bar), tonsured bust facing, extending to edge of flan; pellets flanking neck / + BIARN VLF MO N E T Λ arranged on limbs of, and around, beaded cross. Naismith C151f (this coin); SCBI 4 (Copenhagen), 85; SCBI 67 (BM), –; North 245; SCBC 894 (this coin illustrated, 54th ed.). Well struck, richly toned. Excellent metal. EF. Very rare.
