MYSIA, Lampsacus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (17mm, 3.44 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Winged hippocamp right. RPC VII.1 48; SNG BN –. Earthen green patina, slight roughness, reverse a bit off center. Near VF. Very rare, only four recorded in RPC.

The printed version of RPC VII.1 referred to the reverse as Pegasus, the online version corrected it to a hippocamp.
