CYPRUS, Uncertain. 5th century BC. AR Forty-eighth(?) Stater (7mm, 0.28 g, 3h). Head of roaring lion right / Ankh, with pellet in upper ring, in linear square within incuse square. Cf. Zapiti & Michaelidou 4 (sixth stater; Kourion?); cf. Tziambazis 152 (third stater; Marion?). Toned, roughness on obverse. VF. Very rare, one in CoinArchives (Roma E-107, lot 518). |
