L SEPT SEV P ERT AVG IMP VIII, laureate head right / FORT R REDVC, Fortuna standing left, holding cornucopia in each hand. RIC IV 477A var. (rev. legend); BMCRE p. 112, * var. (same); RSC 167a var. (same). Toned, minor green deposits. VF. Rare.

119b Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AR Denarius (18mm, 2.31 g, 12h). ‘Old style’. Laodicea ad Mare mint. Struck AD 196-197. L SEPT SEV PE RT AVG IMP VII I, laureate head right / FORT R AVG, Fortuna standing left, holding rudder and cornucopia. RIC –; BMCRE –; RSC –. Rough surfaces, lamination flaw on obverse. Fine. Extremely rare – unrecorded reverse legend.
