Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.06 g, 7h). Uncertain eastern mint. Struck AD 128-circa AD 130. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, laureate bust right, slight drapery on shoulder / COS III, Aequitas-Moneta standing left, holding scales and cornucopia. RIC II.3 3028; RPC p. 449; cf. RSC 382a (Rome mint). Lightly toned with underlying luster. Good VF.

RIC, quoting Curtis Clay (Gemini II, lot 387), notes that this issue is more common from the eastern mints and highlights the possibility all denarii of this type may have been produced there.
